UPDATE: Selena Gomez finally breaks her silence on Justin Bieber reunion, The Weeknd split

After her split with The Weeknd and her decision to rekindle her love with Justin Bieber, Selena has finally broken her silence and spoken about the two men in her life.

Selena Gomez had a rollercoaster ride this year when it comes to relationships. The actress was first spotted with The Weeknd and the two quickly made headlines with the possibility of there might be something brewing between the two but then later, the news about their split came and Selena was spotted with Justin Bieber, her ex with whom she had an on and off relationship of nearly four years.

Through all this, everyone was left with the big question of what exactly happened and to our relief, we finally have the answers that we were looking for. In the new cover interview that Selena did for Billboard, the singer broke her silence about her relationships and revealed what exactly had happened. 

She told the magazine that even though The Weeknd and she decided to call it quits just a few months into their relationship, they still share a great connection and friendship. “Something that I’m really proud of is that there’s such a true friendship [between me and The Weeknd,” she told the outlet. 

“I truly have never experienced anything like that in my life. We ended it as best friends, and it was genuinely about encouraging and caring [for each other], and that was pretty remarkable for me," Selena continued. It came as a surprise to everyone to see the couple end their relationship. 

There had been news that The Weeknd even planned on getting married to Selena. Knowing that both of them came out of a very emotional relationship, it could be said that somewhere along the line, the two found solace in each other's company. 

After the two got together, they did not spare a moment to show how much they liked spending time with each other. Right from sharing a moment on the red carpet to sharing PDA-filled posts on their social media, the couple was screaming to the world about how much their relationship mattered. 

However, things quickly took a turn when The Weeknd unfollowed Selena as well as her friends and family. This gave rise to the speculations that perhps, things weren't that great after all. Later, a source close to the couple told Hollywood Life that distance was being a problem for the two.

Even though the two tried their best to reconnect over small vacations they took in between their busy schedule, somewhere, it wasn't enough. Just a couple of weeks after Selena's split with The Weeknd, she was spotted hanging out with her old beau, Justin Bieber.
